Prelude to L1F3 is a modern-age tragedy about a protagonist who is rushed to a hospital after a disastrous accident. While undergoing surgery, he slips into a comatose state where he has flashbacks to his chaotic past. The protagonist's identity, his past actions, and the circumstances leading up to this tragic accident are all clarified by these flashbacks.
About
Prelude to L1F3 blurs the lines between the film and music industries. This short film—or to be more precise, this visual album —was entirely created, written, financed, directed, and produced by Yash Musabji. Along with those notable titles, he also stars as the main protagonist in this story. Prelude to L1F3 is composed of five masterfully produced music videos that convey complex unique stories which are accompanied by additional sequences from the greater narrative arc. The last ten years of his life served as inspiration for this tale.
Yash Musabji 25, is a local up-in-coming, award-winning filmmaker and songwriter, who’s blessed with a multitude of talents. Combining his talents Yash creates a new unique cohesive experience for his fans. He is the modern-day definition of a renaissance man, or as the Rockford Register Star puts it, an “ICON”. As someone who has gained success in spite of the odds stacked against him, Yash hopes to be a beacon of hope that symbolizes anyone can successfully achieve their dreams.
Creative Struggle
Throughout his 4 year journey to make this film, Yash meticulously filmed the whole process via his Creative Struggle vlogs. The series showcases his successes on set, and to his setbacks in his personal life. Yash wanted to highlight the difficulties that he endured, to inspire future young artists to persevere.

Portions of Prelude to L1F3’s music videos have been submitted to multiple film festivals. This project has garnered two recognized festival wins & five official selections. Many more selections are expected to come in during this year’s film festival season.

WREX Channel 13 | Rockford Filmmaker Launches New Visual Album
A young Rockford filmmaker is set to premiere his visual album in town, and the event is generating buzz in the community. Dylan Valencia of 13 WREX had the opportunity to interview the filmmaker, Yash, a mid-20s creative who has previously been featured in an "Inspiring 815" segment.
Being a young individual, Yash uses vlogs, social media, and his position on the Rockford Area Arts Council board to inspire and uplift the youth. His journey, from an immigrant child from India to the accomplished filmmaker he is today, serves as a testament to his determination and resilience. Yash believes that if he can achieve his dreams, so can anyone.

Rockford's first Indian Muslim filmmaker, Yash Musabji, who has been nominated six times nationally, is hosting a red carpet premiere for his new visual album, "Prelude to Life." The music video and movie combined, set in Rockford, Wisconsin, and Las Vegas, took five years to complete and portrays a boy's journey of self-discovery. Musabji urges everyone to chase their dreams and shares how the project grew from an intended three-month task to a five-year endeavor due to his passion for creating connected music videos for his album.
